Ithaca Public Schools require various forms, signed documents, and methods of identification to be filled out prior to the enrollment of new or re-enrolling students. Some of these forms will require submission yearly to maintain enrollment in Ithaca Public Schools. Failure to fill out these forms and submit the required documents will result in a rejection of enrollment or cause an existing student to be unenrolled. This policy enables Ithaca Public Schools to meet State requirements as well as provide for the safety of students and school staff.
Ithaca Public Schools’ process for collection of these forms is through the PowerSchool Parent Portal. Directions are shared with all parents/guardians. Technology support is made available to help in the creation of and access to the Parent Portal account. Internet-connected devices are available in the school office for on-site access to the Parent Portal.
*The district has determined proper accommodations for extenuating circumstances where paper signatures will be accepted.

Children are assigned to a public school according to the district they live in. The Schools of Choice program allows parents living outside the Ithaca School District the option to still attend. The application linked below is only required if the student's permanent residence is outside the Ithaca School District.
