North Elementary welcomes our building substitute, Bethany Slater! Bethany graduated from Ithaca High School in 2019 and just recently graduated from Alma College. Her absolute favorite thing to do is spend time with her niece and nephew. Bethany also enjoys bowling, fashion, makeup, and photography.


Picture day is coming Monday, September 25th!
You may order now at mylifetouch.com using the information on the picture day form--sent home in Friday folders and or by returning the Lifetouch form envelope with payment enclosed.
All students will have their picture taken for the yearbook even if you do not purchase photos.


This week our school community will be focusing on the character strength of Open-Mindedness. Open-mindedness means you like to consider new ideas and try new things. You examine things from all sides and don’t jump to conclusions.

Starting on Monday, September 18th our 6th graders will begin selling candy bars in the hallways. Please remember to bring small bills--nothing larger than a $5 so we can quickly make change. All sales from the candy bars help our 6th graders go to camp in May 2024. Thanks for all your support and remember to bring your money to buy a candy bar or two!

For a Social Studies assignment, 4th graders had to make a slide presentation to convince others why their Great Lake was the best.

Our fourth grade Lego club started on Tuesday and our builders got right to work collaborating on the assigned missions. Look forward to seeing their completed robots in the coming months!

Our CSO students and their families spent Sunday afternoon cleaning up our school woods. Their goal is to work with local businesses and community members to have this special space ready for classroom field trips in the coming months!

North students were challenged to build models of the Mackinaw Bridge with the Imagination Playground blocks today. Collaboration was essential in order to successfully connect the lower and upper peninsulas (white cubes). Thank you Gratiot County Community Foundation for these amazing resources!
