Students were engaged with STEAM challenges connected to our reading theme during Family Fun Night at North this week! They also enjoyed playing a "story stop" game with a chance to win a book and bookmark to take home! We enjoyed this time with families!

Last week, we had a special Principal Chat! Some of our 4th graders went above and beyond by creating a Google Slides presentation on their own time to celebrate Reading Month! Mrs. Rayburn was so impressed that she invited them to present it! What an amazing job!

Our 5th-grade students have been diving deep into the world of physical and chemical changes. Today, they put their knowledge to the test with a hands-on lab using water bottles, vinegar, baking soda, and balloons. By combining these ingredients, students observed a chemical reaction firsthand as the resulting gas inflated their balloons. This experiment was a fantastic way for our students to see science come to life while practicing teamwork and creative thinking. It was an engaging day of discovery, and we are proud of the curiosity and collaboration our young scientists displayed throughout the process.

The pictured students constructed the four fastest cars in their classrooms and will compete in the grade level competition on Friday.

We are so thankful that Project Full and the De Saegher family provide snacks for all of our students at North Elementary! Once the snacks get delivered, you can see it takes a team working together to distribute the snacks efficiently!

Third graders started their climate unit by creating models of the three climate zones in STEAM lab. Successful models allowed a marble "traveler" to roll from the polar zone, through the temperate zone, and land in the toasty tropical zone!
