Yesterday the sixth graders enjoyed a story read by Mrs. Rayburn in honor of Reading Month during our monthly principal chat time. We talked about doing our best and was reminded of our North School mission and vision: "Swarm Together."

Just a friendly reminder that our North and South Elementary Family Night will be happening tomorrow, March 16th starting at 5:30 to 7:00 PM at North Elementary! We hope to see you and please come out to read a few books as well as stroll thru all of the many beautiful art masterpieces.
We won this beautiful puzzle in the door decorating contest for March is Reading Month. Great collaboration kids!!
Testing out the cushioning capabilities of various materials in 6th grade science! Students are determining the best material for balancing forces in a collision!
Fourth graders continued their fossil work today by building paleontologist tools using erector sets. They then engaged in some actual "fossil discovery" tool tests!

The 6th grade band had a wonderful concert tonight! They have worked so hard to improve their skills throughout the year!

As a part of their tropical climate zone unit, third graders designed solutions to keep albatross eggs safe from rising waters in Hawaii.

Ashley Mark from MDHHS- Division of Environmental Health came to read to the 4th graders today. They learned about groundwater and how water gets to our houses.They were each given a copy of the book she read!
In sixth grade the students enjoyed a story presented by our guest reader, Kiley Kochensparger from the GIRESD, who read "Salt in His Shoes: Michael Jordan in Pursuit of a Dream." This book inspired the students to continue to reach for their goals and have a love of learning.
Today we started off in the gym enjoying breakfast for everyone! It was a great chance for our parents/guardians to come in and enjoy breakfast with us! Thanks to our wonderful kitchen staff for making this happen.
