That’s a wrap! Bitter sweet as we are excited for summer , yet emotional about not seeing our Kindergarten “family”. Take time to smell the roses, enjoy the little things, and love your children. These little ones don’t stay little very long. ❤️

Grant and Mr. Kanine
The DK and Kindergarten students presented Mr. Kanine with this special poster to let him know a few of the reasons why we think he's the best principal! Each student also signed their name on the back of the poster. ❤️

Mrs. Hessbrook's Kindergarten Class celebrated the last full day of school at the Charles Teegardin-Church of God Playground in Ithaca today. We played, enjoyed freeze popsicles, and played some more. It was so nice just to enjoy each other's company for 90 minutes! This group of children encourage me to believe this world is an AMAZING place in their sweet hands! Thank you to Ithaca bus driver Mr. Steve MeComber for transporting us to the park, Ms. Amanda Stec for helping chaperone, and Ithaca Church of God for scheduling our visit! Happy last (half-day) of school tomorrow Ithaca Yellowjackets! Have a safe & happy summer! 💙💛💙💛💙💛💙💛💙

The Gratiot Community Foundation awarded the GSRP Preschool classrooms a grant to fund these materials, along with a slide, for expanding our Outdoor Area to include more Play-Based Learning through STEAM. The materials also allow students to learn based on the 5 principles of our HighScope Curriculum Active Learning Principles: "Materials, Manipulation, Choice, Language and Thought, and Scaffolding." These materials provide the opportunity for students to advance their growth by aligning with many or our curriculum's objectives too. The students enjoyed utilizing the materials, while learning, and we look forward to next year's students using them too!
