In Mrs. Dawe’s room we are Building peer relationships through the power of reading.




Students in Miss. Hartman’s class worked on conflict resolution and building peer relationships by working together to build a snowman. They worked hard and accomplished this as a team!




Mr. Vozar visited the GSRP preschool classroom today to build positive relationships with our community. This allowed for an engaging opportunity for children to learn about safety and our community’s helpers.




2nd grade students were engaged in a learning opportunity to showcase their newly learned phonics spelling of -tch with their patchwork quilt.


All families are invited to the South Winter Family Fun Night on Tuesday, January 24th from 6 to 7 PM. Sign in takes place in the gym and Media/Tech Art, Music and STEAM will all have an engaging activity for students to complete. When you sign in students get a free book as well!

Mrs. Davis visited for
our second Protect Yourself lesson. Learning how what to do with strangers and empowering students to listen to their “safety whistle”

Kindergarten students are becoming empowered learners by learning where the letters are at on the keyboard.


Our South Elementary preschool students are building positive relationships with our community! Our local EMS visits our GSRP classes today!

Mrs. Buchanan’s class is learning about community helpers. There will be an ambulance at South school today January 19th, as a learning opportunity.

Second graders used cubetto robots to extend their land features knowledge and practice using map skills.



Mrs. Buchanan’s class read books about boxes and community helpers. Then students created trains, cars, fire trucks, and police cars while learning about each, being creative, using beginning writing, and scissor cutting skills.

Save the Date for our annual Book Fair! We will have the book fair from February 27 to March 3rd. A family fun night is being planned for Wednesday, March 1st! March is Reading Month will be here soon!
