Challenging 1st grade minds to use their creative energy and celebrating our hard work together. Happy 100's Day Mrs.Dawe's room!

Who ever thought 100's day could involve so much fun and learning? In Mrs. Dawe's room, student's engaged in purposeful conversation to predict whether 100 cubes could stand on their own and what happens to a lollipop after 100 licks. If you're curious about this challenge give it a try. It was 1st grade approved!

Dear South Families,
The South Elementary staff would like to express our sincere thanks for all of the support that our South familes and community have generously shown to us in the loss of Mrs. Hessbrook's son Brady. The treats, the lunches, the messages, the flowers and all of the other supportive gestures have been noted and sincerely appreciated.
The support for Mrs. Hessbrook and her class has been overwhelming and also much appreciated. For all that is being done for our school, we say "Thank You".
There will not be school on Friday, Feb 3, 2023. This will allow Ithaca Public School staff the opportunity to attend the service for Brady and support the Hessbrook family.

Second graders created bodies of water posters in STEAM and then “put them in motion” with dominoes. This proved to be a great opportunity to practice become resilient problem solvers!

Ithaca Public Schools has a support plan prepared for students and staff on Monday morning.
