Homecoming Parade Information for Participants:
Parade: If you are planning on having a group in the parade and you are a school group, you will need to register your float. You will be given a number to line up in order on the WEST side of the street by Alley T. Spots will be marked that morning. If you are NOT a school group or if you haven’t registered as a school group and received a number, you will line up on the EAST side of the street in the second block, on a first come first serve basis, and you will follow all the pre registered school floats.

North Families:
The state notified us of an error in subscore reporting in the MSTEP parent report that you had previously received. The overall scale scores and proficiency calculation were correct. You are receiving the updated reports in your child's Friday Folder this week.

Our 6th graders are currently fundraising and looking for pledge sponsors to help them attend camp next spring. We have some students who will need sponsorships this year. If you are able to help sponsor a student to attend camp; please contact Mrs. Rayburn (989) 875-3047.

4th graders were excited to get their mealworms and have been learning a lot about them! We have been able to see some turn into pupas and adult beetles!
Lunch on Friday September 13 will be as follows:
Breaded Chicken Drumstick , dinner roll, mashed potatoes with gravy and a choice of fruit, vegetables and milk.
Second Choice for North and South Elementary will be as follows:
Goldfish, Cheese Cubes, Grapes, Carrots, an apple and milk choice.
Junior Senior High Grill special will be a Pizza Burger and the Pizza special is Bosco cheese sticks.
North Elementary is happy to have our local law enforcement pop in to our students lunches! Our students love building community relationships.
Fourth graders read Papa's Mechanical Fish in STEAM lab and learned about the making of the first submarine. After successfully making a mechanical fish in the story, the inventor started working on a mechanical bird. Take a look at some of the mechanical birds our fourth graders built!
5th graders created a photosynthesis model to empower their knowledge on the process that provides us oxygen!
5th graders were productive scientists today by showing what the inside of a cell looks like with their creations!
This week in STEAM fifth graders were challenged to build animal road crossings to help wildlife get from a forest area to a water source. Bridges needed to cross over two different sized vehicles and hold at least two animals. Teamwork was a must for this challenge!

Sixth graders started their STEAM work this year by learning about paleo-engineering and building dinosaur models with our new "loose bones" kits. It's so great to be back with these builders!
Thanks to the PTO we were able to improve our library! Our students are loving the new flexible seating!
Ithaca Physical Therapy welcomed North Elementary staff back to school with coffee, donuts, and cinnamon rolls! We have the best community! Thank you Joe and Leslie!

Our hallways were filled with many students and parents checking out their new classrooms! We loved seeing everyone last evening! Thank you so much for attending our Meet the Teacher Night! We're thrilled to introduce a new addition to our staff this year, Mrs. Fowler! Mrs. Fowler is passionate about photography, camping, being outdoors, and watching her kids play sports. She also loves contributing to their family's Haunted House. A graduate of Ithaca High School with a degree in Marketing from Western Michigan University. Mrs. Fowler is excited to bring her skills and energy to our school community. Please join us in giving her a warm welcome!
