This week, the 6th-grade band students gave a fantastic concert! They performed several songs, including two quartet groups and a flute trio. Mr. Impemba and his student teacher did a great job with the program. We look forward to their Spring concert!

Third grade walking field trip downtown to deliver our Kindness bookmarks and posters!

Thank you to Thompson Home Public Library for accepting Bee Kind bookmarks made by North Elementary 3rd graders! The students are very proud to share their bookmarks to
promote kindness.
Today the students enjoyed a performance by the Academy of Performing Arts. The songs included many favorites from familiar movies. Two of our 6th graders performed and we are very proud of their talents!
Dear 5th Grade Families,
We know how much the 5th grade field trip to Greenfield Village means to our families. With our departure at 7 A.M. and return at 6 P.M., many need time to plan ahead. Moreover, we encourage as many parents as possible to join us on this trip. It is a special time to share, just you and your fifth grader, and the earlier you can make plans for your work schedule the more likely you will be able to come along! With those things in mind, we are giving you this announcement: Our trip to Greenfield Village is scheduled for Thursday, May 30. Much more information will come in March - including a permission slip and a reminder that the cost is $4 per student thanks to the generosity of our PTA and $14 per adult. For now, please mark your calendars for Thursday, May 30, 2024 as our Greenfield Village field trip!

Check out our 2024 READbowl Champions! All of these girls love to read fiction books! The champions received a special lunch from Mrs. Rayburn at The Hearthstone!
Mrs.Hull's 3rd graders received a special gift from a special grandma on Valentine's Day!! Thank you so very much for these adorable handmade teddy bears!! A lot of love and hard work went into making these and the kids loved receiving them.
Fourth graders created Lego rock layers to represent the different layers under our feet! The white and green pieces in each layer indicate animals and plants that lived at the time that layer formed. It was a fun way to visualize the changes our Earth has experienced over time!
Happy Valentine's Day from our 6th graders! We had another wonderful class party and also enjoyed many treats and cards from our friends!

The 3rd grade staff and students would like to give a heartfelt THANK YOU to the Gratiot Community Foundation and the Molly Castillon Happy Faces Fund for funding our flexible seating grant. Together, we are tailoring student learning environments and experiences.
