Fifth graders created models of Earth's orbit around the sun using sphero mini robots. It proved to be quite tricky coding the "Earth" to get to each season!

Swarming together through STEAM! Miss Sopocy's 6th graders teamed up with the Kindergarteners at South Elementary to explore motion and energy in STEAM. These engaging opportunities spark student growth and help cultivate positive relationships. Let’s celebrate these creative moments that bring our students together!
4th graders traveled to South School to join 2nd graders for a STEAM lesson on erosion. It was a great experience for all of the students! We saw a lot of smiles and laughter as they were learning and talking about erosion! A huge Thank You to Mrs. Hindbaugh-Marr for arranging this experience!
Teamwork in action! On Monday, Ms. Foglesong's 6th graders joined forces with Kindergarteners for a fun STEAM project! They investigated if a sled travels faster when heavier or lighter. Together, they engaged in problem-solving and built positive relationships. Thanks to Mrs. H-Marr and our school bus transportation for making this trip possible! #SwarmTogether

Today was a special celebration for #WorldReadAloudDay! Mrs. Rayburn visited us to read a wonderful book and share how the character's journey inspires us to use our positivity project character strength words. #SwarmTogether

We are so thankful that Pheasants Forever continues to support nature-based learning in our district! Fourth graders used their knowledge of land features and animals to play a new card game purchased with Pheasants Forever funds. They had a great time sharpening their science skills!
Sixth grade students are launching into a new force and motion unit! Students were "problem investigators" today. They observed multiple collisions with objects of different mass and at different amounts of force. They analyzed their observations to see that changing the force and mass will affect the results of the collision!
