Senior Keegan Henderson is this year's winner of The Voice of Democracy scholarship competition sponsored by our local VFW Post 7805. Keegan's essay, along with his audio recording, will now be submitted to compete at the District 9 level next. Congratulations Keegan, and good luck advancing to the next level!

Mrs. Shankel's 7th grade math class started reviewing for their math exam today! They had a heated game of "Trashketball." Pictured are the "Spartans" who came out on top!

Eighth grade students in Mrs. Jorae's 5th hour English class have been creating "WANTED" posters for characters from the novel The Outsiders, by S.E. Hinton! Kids have been working hard, collaborating, and demonstrating productive creativity. IHS students are inspiring - watch out, bad guys!

Congratulations to Ithaca FFA members Ivy Davenport & Makinna Foglesong in the State FFA Broiler Contest. Ivy Davenport received STATE WINNER and Makinna Foglesong received a STATE SILVER award. Congratulations to all FFA members who competed in this contest!

Ithaca Parliamentary Procedure Team wins National Silver and in the top 25 in the United States. ⭐️ The Ithaca Parliamentary Procedure team did an outstanding job competing on the National Stage this week. Team members are: Blake Morris, Quinne McMurphy, Emmalee Shankel, Emalee Woodard, Brent DeSaegher, Emma Polash & alternate Austin Barancik.

Ithaca Parliamentary Procedure Team wins National Silver in the top 25 in the United States. Congratulation to Ms. Siefka and all the team members that participated in Indianapolis last weekend. The Ithaca community is proud of all your hard work. Excellent job!!!!!

Mrs. VanDeWeghe planned another excellent round of mock interviews today. Our students behaved very professionally and are one step closer to success in the “real world”. Thank you to all the interviewers and congratulations to our senior interviewees.

On behalf of the Board of Education, I thank the Ithaca Public Schools’ voters for their support of the renewal of the sinking fund. Approval of the sinking fund will allow the school district to continue to update facilities, improve school security, upgrade technology, and purchase new buses and vans. Again, I am grateful to the parents, staff, students, and other members of the community who helped us inform people about the sinking fund renewal. Thank you for your continued support!
