It is with a heavy heart that we inform you that Mr. and Mrs. Hessbrook’s son Brady passed away unexpectedly on Friday. Ithaca Public Schools has a support plan prepared for students and staff on Monday morning. The Gratiot Integrated Health Network Professionals and several Local Youth Leaders will be available for students and staff. We will continue with additional support for as long as it is needed. Funeral arrangements have been made for this upcoming Friday; Ithaca Public Schools will be closed that day.

The sixth graders have been learning and studying algebra thru a program called, Hands on Equations. This program is not only engaging as well as empowering towards their learning; it also is preparing our sixth graders for excellence in math.
Earlier this week two of our sixth graders presented along with Mrs. Rayburn during this months 'Principal Chat.' Our sixth grade presenters wanted to spread the message to all students in our school to keep our school clean. They encouraged everyone to help our janitors out by picking up and throwing away our trash in the proper receptacle. Along with this message, Mrs. Rayburn talked about our school mission and vision: 'Swarm Together.'

Thank you Luke Stephens for helping our fifth graders understand how STEAM skills are used in Amazon warehouses! It was so great to have our questions answered by an experienced mechanical engineer…and to show-off some of our building skills!
