Troy Pendell is a familiar face at Ithaca Junior/Senior High School where he spends a lot of time substitute teaching. He recently subbed in one of the 7th grade classes and they spent the day making Christmas cards for some very special people. Derek Pendell, pictured in the red shirt and blue hat, is Troy and Kim Pendell's son. He is a member of the 1436th Engineer Company. They are currently overseas in support of Operation Spartan Shield. Derek is a 2019 graduate of Ithaca High School and captain of the Football and Track & Field Teams. Pictured with Derek are all the wonderful recipients of the Christmas cards made by some of the Ithaca students.

Students absolutely love Mr. Impemba's band and music classes! Mr. Impemba has been playing music and directing for over 10 years in various groups and bands around Michigan, so he brings a lot of practical knowledge to the classroom. He is a very skilled musician himself - and won multiple awards when he was in high school himself. We truly appreciate our highly qualified teachers like Mr. Impemba, who go the extra mile to give IHS students the best experience possible.

Computer Science Education week continues! Students had a great time learning to design and execute code commands within Minecraft Education edition. Most kids were already familiar with Minecraft, and as such were highly motivated to try out the lessons and projects designed by Mr. Lincoln. Great job, everyone!
