Seniors and senior parents:
Mrs Hrabal emailed the local scholarships to seniors today. These are due March 21st.
Mrs Skeith also sent out 2 home builders scholarships. One for students going into a home building field (interior design, architecture, construction management, electrician, plumbing, heating etc) and one for the child/grandchild of a member of the Home Builder's Association.

Senior pancake supper had a nice turnout. The class of 2025 was serving up the pancakes with a smile! Thank you to everyone who attended.




Friday night the senior class held their annual ball drop. Looking at the number of balls that fell, I would say it was a success. Thank you to everyone who purchased a ball drop ticket from a member of the class of 2025.

Ithaca agriscience students visited an agricultural career fair hosted by Breckenridge FFA today. Students had a great time asking questions to employers about their job and their company. Thank you to Breckenridge FFA & Breckenridge High School for inviting us.





Congratulations to our 20 students who scored 3 or higher on AP US History and/or AP Computer Science A (missing Kenny Daniels and Connor McMurphy). These students, along with 16 AP Literature and Composition students from the class of 2024 earned potential college credit for these high school classes

This week is National School Counseling week. Here at Ithaca we are very fortunate to have Kristin Skeith as our counselor. Please make sure you thank her for all her hard work.

8th grade had the opportunity to plan for high school and explore career options with Naviance. Students chose 3 favorite career options that fit their interests and learning styles.

The Buffpuff game was a huge success with the senior/freshman team pulling off the win after 3 sets. Players, coaches, refs and great student support made a fun end to Snowcoming week.

News release from Gratiot County Veterans Memorial Scholarship Program
RE: $30,000 available in scholarships—must apply by FEBRUARY 15
There is $30,000 waiting for Gratiot County students who apply for a scholarship by February 15.
The Gratiot County Veterans Memorial Scholarship program is offering scholarships to support further education for Gratiot County high school graduating seniors at trade schools, community colleges, four-year university programs as well as the military.
The scholarships, known as the Gratiot County Veterans Memorial Scholarships, are awarded to students wishing to extend their education. Financial need is a qualification. Scholarships will be also awarded based on a student’s character, community service, work ethic, future plans, and motivation.
The scholarship is at minimum $5,000. The entire scholarship application process is online at myvms.org. Applications may also be obtained at the guidance counselor’s office in each of the six high schools in Gratiot County. The scholarship application, essay, and letters of recommendations can be sent by email or U.S. Postal Service to the individuals listed on the website. Due date for the application is February 15, 2025.
Scholarship recipients and their respective school districts in 2024 were Eliana Rodriguez, Alma; Clayton Juhas, Ashley; Megan Goward, Breckenridge; Sydney Ash, Fulton; Jordyn Smith, Ithaca; Kylie Acker, St. Louis.
The scholarship guidelines state all students who apply, regardless of academic achievement, will be considered.
Community volunteers with various backgrounds and locations will review student applications. Decisions on scholarship winners are based on verified qualifications presented in the applications.
Book club is back in full swing this trimester on Thursdays starting at 3:15 in Mrs. Casey's room! A big thank you to Mr. Cooper for his generosity in providing special cookies this week made by Mrs. Fales (Sweet Pea Cookies by Penny).
