Happy birthday to Landyn Saxton
Congratulations to the High School Robotics Team on making it to the playoffs this past weekend at Ferris State University. Also, congrats on winning the Excellence in Engineering Award. It was well deserved.
Speed Training will take place every Thursday after school. This is open to all athletes. Speed Training will take place after school tomorrow at the high school.
Attention all current 8th-11th grade boys playing football next year, Gold Cards will be handed out today. You can see Coach Hessbrook before school or pick them from his classroom during 10 minute passing time.
Attention all current 8th grade boys playing football next year, there will be a parent meeting tonight at 6 PM in the Media Center.
Attention all students that attended Rotary this year, there will be a meeting in the cafeteria tomorrow after attendance has been taken in class.
Attention Juniors and Seniors: You are able to pick up your Prom guest forms. Just a reminder, if your guest does not go to school here, you will need a form filled out. All forms must be signed by your guest principal. If your guest is no longer in school, I will need proof of age. If you have any questions, please ask in the office.
"The Youth in Government Program is holding a Penny wars, 10 teachers are involved. These teachers will be competing against each other, the teacher with the most points by the end of the month will get pied at the next school assembly. Every Monday, Wednesday and Friday from April 13th to April 29th there will be a table outside the office in the mornings and at lunch where you can put in money. Pennies are worth 1 point while all other coins and bills reduce their face value in points."
Attention 7th-10th graders-if you are interested in participating in the Gratiot Area Youth Police Academy you can pick up an application in the office.
Today in sports
Boys Varsity Golf travels to Central Montcalm High School to compete at Brookside Golf Course at 3:00 PM. Golfers will be dismissed at 12:50 PM and depart at 1:00 PM.
Boys Varsity Baseball travels to Michigan Lutheran Seminary for a 4:00 PM game. Players will be dismissed at 1:40 PM and depart at 1:50 PM.
Girls Varsity Softball also travels to Michigan Lutheran Seminary for a 4:00 PM game, with dismissal at 1:40 PM and departure at 1:50 PM.
