Welcome to Mr. Bourgault's page! 
I currently teach English 11 and AP English at Ithaca High School. I am a 2004 graduate of Central Michigan University and will be completing my Masters in English Language and Literature in 2011.
I base my curriculum on critical reading and writing; the assignments are intended to prepare students for the MME, AP Literature Exam and college-level expectations. Although I love to read and write creatively, I determine my objectives based on the fundamentals of the English language. This focus includes grammar, basic writing techniques, vocabulary expansion and reading strategies. My goals is to teach students the necessary communication skills needed to succeed, regardless of a particular student's area of interest or desired career path.
